Porcupine has created an exciting range of unglazed ceramic “bisqueware” items (Initial firing at low temp) offering you the opportunity to indulge in your personal decorative ideas or "colour in" our suggested designs, to make these ceramic pieces your own works of art.
We offer two workshop venues for your enjoyment:
1. Situated In the Crags, North of Plettenberg Bay, on The Monkeyland Road, Porcupine Ceramics has collaborated with The Peppermill Café to offer yet another reason for you to “Cruise The Crags”
Painting takes place indoors in the Mohair Mill’s open plan store with "Peppermill Café "on tap to provide you with refreshments.
2. Alternately Porcupine has now built a painting studio on "The Roadside Cafe" property, Piesang Valley Road, Plettenberg Bay with The Roadside Cafe catering for all your culinary pleasures
Painting Workshops are available daily Tuesday - Saturday.Mornings 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & Afternoons 1:30 pm – 16:30 pm. A studio fee of R 200 is payable with your online booking to secure your Porcupine “Creative Clay slot”. Inclusive of your paint brushes and tool hire, paint required to complete your masterpiece and your final glaze firing. Book Online.
THE “TakeHome” option. Just pop into the Porcupine studio at The Mill in The Crags from Monday - Sunday, between 11:00 AM - 15:00 PM, purchase your ceramic item, purchase your brushes and your paint colours, take your ceramic home to decorate in your own time, then once your ready return the item to the Porcupine studio, for the final glaze firing. A glaze firing fee is applicable at 50% of the purchase price of your bisque item. No need to book.
